Disney Destiny to sail from Florida from next November

Bookings open next month for new Disney Cruise Line ship Disney Destiny for sailings from Fort Lauderdale in Florida.

The sister ship to Disney Wish and Disney Treasure is scheduled to sail on its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Florida in November 2025.

With capacity for up to 4,000 passengers, Disney Destiny will run four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and western Caribbean.

The itineraries include calls to one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations, Disney Castaway Cay and the new Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

General bookings for the 144,000 gross ton-ship open on 12 September 2024.

Disney Destiny is to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and is part of a multi-year expansion of the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

A new Lion King-themed family dining experience will be exclusive to Disney Destiny, complementing two favourite restaurants from Disney Wish and Disney Treasure.

Disney Destiny will continue the line’s family dining concept, where passengers experience one of three restaurants each night accompanied by dedicated staff assigned to each group throughout the cruise.

A range of adults-only facilities include the Quiet Cove refuge with an infinity pool, poolside bar and cafe.

The outside decks will be split onto three themed districts first introduced aboard the Disney Wish, offering water features and casual dining options.

Seven pools staggered among tiered decks for families have been designed as part of an area themed to Mickey Mouse and other animated characters.
