Teams will compete to win a 29-night Symphony cruise
Cruise operator Crystal has launched a golf competition backed by some of the greatest names in the game, giving guests the chance to play at top courses in the US.
The Crystal Cup will see golf management firm Troon team up with professional players Luke Donald and Lexi Thompson to invite 1,880 players to compete in the tournament, with with the chance to win a 29-night cruise from Singapore to Tokyo on Crystal Symphony.
"The Crystal Cup is a fantastic initiative that brings together the best of both worlds, challenging golf at well-known courses and the exceptional service, dining and entertainment you get on a Crystal cruise," said Donald.
Two-person teams will compete in 10 local qualifiers held at clubs across the US starting May 2025, with the final playing out at the renowned Sea Island Golf Club in St Simons Island, in Georgia, in October.
In total, 940 teams and 1,880 players are expected to compete in Crystal Cup qualifiers.

Donald and Thompson bring genuine star quality to the tournament, with Donald being the former world number-one men’s player and captain of the victorious 2023 and upcoming 2025 European Ryder Cup teams. Thompson, herself a Major winner, has 15 career tour victories and was one of the youngest winners on the LPGA and European Tours.
Both players will feature in Crystal’s brand campaigns and take part in events throughout the tournament, with a special campaign in the lead-up to the 2025 Ryder Cup offering golf fans the chance to win a virtual lesson with Luke Donald.
