Connections Luxury Seoul hosts 30 travel agencies

Fourth edition delivered 1,249 one-to-one meetings and 21 immersive experiences

Connections Luxury, the leading private global community for trusted professionals in high-end travel, has celebrated the success of Connections Luxury Seoul, held for the fourth time in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government. 

The event, which took place from 8-11 June, hosted 30 leading travel agencies from 12 countries and delivered 1,249 carefully curated one-to-one meetings and 21 immersive experiences, all designed to foster stronger business relationships.

“Connections Luxury Seoul has truly highlighted the remarkable growth and dynamic evolution of the luxury travel sector,” Greg Reeves, Managing Director at Connections Luxury said.

Connections Luxury Seoul fourth edition

During the four-day event in Seoul, attendees participated in an array of authentic local experiences curated by Travel Different, the official DMC partner, which took place in locations across the city and included tea ceremonies, culinary sessions and bespoke fashion experiences.

Travel buyers enjoyed an exclusive VIP Moonlight Tour of Changdeokgung Palace, a Unesco-listed heritage site originally built in the 15th century, and a culinary experience, where they crafted traditional Korean soy sauce in a session led by Master Kisoondo.

Attendees enjoyed authentic local experiences

Business meetings took place at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and Korea House, with evening receptions held at Four Seasons Seoul and Park Hyatt Seoul. The travel buyers stayed at The Shilla Seoul, Conrad Seoul, and JW Marriott Hotel Seoul. 

This year’s edition marked a first for Connections Luxury Seoul, with Jennifer Kester, Vice-President and Executive Editor of Forbes Travel Guide joining as media partner and delivering a thought-provoking ConnecTALKs session on luxury hospitality trends.

At the conclusion of the event, attendees enjoyed a post-event fam trip that extended beyond Seoul for the first time, taking the travel buyers to Jeju Island and Busan for a broader view of Korea’s luxury offering. 

Commenting on the event, Goo Jongwon, Director General of Tourism and Sports Bureau at Seoul Metropolitan Government, said: “We had the opportunity to showcase the charm of Seoul as a premier luxury destination to the global tourism industry. Moving forward, we will continue to develop diverse tourism content to ensure Seoul emerges as a trend-leading tourism city not only in Asia but around the world, while strengthening our global network and partnership with Connections Luxury, part of Jacobs Media."

Connections Luxury’s flagship Middle East event was held in Doha, Qatar in March 2025, with more than 300 trade professionals attending. The event is set to return to Qatar from 29 March to 1 April 2026.

Also launched in March 2025, Connections Luxury Americas in NYC brought 160 senior industry professionals together from 33 countries.

Since its inception in 2014, Connections Luxury has hosted over 65 global events.
