Mid-range hotel features outdoor pool, yoga studio and three dining outlets

IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened its latest hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the group’s 44th property in the kingdom.

Located in the Al Malaz district, Holiday Inn Riyadh Al Malaz is billed as a “home away from home” for business and leisure guests, a 30-minute drive from King Khaled International Airport and a short walk from Riyadh Metro station.

Nearby landmarks include Saudi’s first skyscraper Burj Al Faisaliyah, the 14th-century Al Masmak Palace, now a museum, and King Abdullah Park with its gardens, fountains and walking paths.

Twin room overlooking downtown Riyadh

The hotel’s 115 rooms and suites span 11 floors, and room categories range from twin rooms to spacious suites that overlook the downtown area. All rooms come with marble bathrooms, high-speed internet and satellite television, and some have floor-to-ceiling windows.

There are three dining destinations at the hotel, including The Palms Restaurant all-day dining venue, Sky Lounge casual eatery serving international and Levantine cuisines, and Aroma Costa Cafe, a specialist coffee and dessert bar in the lobby. Guests can also enjoy light snacks and mocktails by the pool, as well as around-the-clock room service.

Facilities include a 24/7 fitness centre with set hours for men and women, a wellness area with sauna and yoga room and an outdoor pool with sweeping city views.

For business travellers, the lobby features a media lounge and there is a high-tech meeting room that accommodates up to 30 guests and a ballroom for up to 200 guests.
